As Cindy & I put the final touches on the 2020 REO Club of America Annual Meet being held at Hilton Garden Inn- Kimberly on Wednesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 18, 2020, I would like to take a moment to thank Marty, Joyce, Butch and Lois (and any behind the scenes staff) for the excellent coverage of the 2019 Kerrville Meet! The last two issues of the ECHO were, without a doubt, extraordinary examples of why “our” ECHO has received the Golden Quill Award for 10 years running. On a personal note, I would be remiss if I didn’t send a special ‘Thank You’ to John, Virginia, and JL Phillips for putting on an absolutely fantastic meet in Kerrville. Your hospitality and attention to detail made the 2019 Meet one for the record books! I have talked with the sales director and she has told me that not all of the Front Desk personnel have the knowledge/ clearance to override the system. Her solution is to call her directly by calling the Hotel’s main number 920.730.1900, push 2 (sales) and ask for Alisha Mueller. As long as there is room availability, she will be able to get you an extra day(s). Please understand that all rooms booked “outside the block” will charged at normal seasonal rate. While on the subject of arriving early, Mark Thomas (mbr. # 3187) of Michigan has sent me some information on the FWD/Seagrave Museum in nearby Clintonville, WI. Mark is Foundation President of the Museum. Since we already have our Thursday & Friday tours set, I am wondering if there would be enough interest in taking an “Early Bird Tour” on either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning?
